Another fast ship, delivery was in 10 days! Individually packaged and shipped in a bubbled envelope. Base plates are small but can be attached to each other from underneath. 4 pieces are a good start, altho my grandson wants more to build bigger things, along with more blocks! Lol! These are slightly more than 3 inches on all sides, about half a centimeter thick. Comes with 2 2×2 flat tile pieces with no pegs/bumps, just flat, used for connecting other magnetic base plates together underneath, so the tiles are not visible when connected and laid out flat topside. I also got the magnetic bricks that match these bases and they work perfectly. You can place your magnetic brick pieces anywhere on the board and it sticks pretty well. They are not very powerful magnets, but they can hold 2-3 bricks horizontally just fine. The intent is to build vertically anyway, so these work out just great.
